Getting Started
Connecting to a Smartboard
All Smartboards are equipped with a physical Thunderbolt connector for screen sharing from laptops. New Smartboards also support wireless screen sharing with Apple TV.
Dongles and adapters can be borrowed from IT to support connectivity to laptops that do not have a Thunderbolt port.
Using Smart Learning Suite
All St. John’s School faculty and staff laptop computers have the Smart Learning Suite installed.
- Open "Launchpad"
- Select and open "Notebook"
DVDs played from laptops will not work when connected via AirPlay. DRM (Digital Rights Management) on computers will block DVD playback over AirPlay. Laptops playing DVDs must be connected through Thunderbolt.
