All students and staff are provided with a G Suite account for educational use while at St. John's School. Each account comes with unlimited Google Drive storage. In addition to being able to save any file type, Google Drive provides access to the following tools:
- Google Docs (word processor)
- Google Sheets (spreadsheet software)
- Google Slides (presentation software)
- Google Forms (survey tool)
- Google Sites (website creation tool)
- Google Drawing (drawing tool)
Third party add-ons add additional functionality to Google Drive and each of the Google Drive software tools.

SJS Information Technology recommends using Chrome with G Suite applications. Follow the steps below to access the G Suite.
- Using Chrome, navigate to Google.ca and sign-in with your school email address and password.
- Access your Google Apps by clicking on the “waffle iron” in the right hand corner of the window.
- You will then be able to select the Google App you wish to access, including Google Drive.

When you are signed into your Chrome Browser, G Suite provides interactive training within all of the core G Suite Tools.
- Go to the top right corner in any G Suite tool select the multi-colour colour the question mark. If it is the first time using G Suite Training, you will need to approve access to your account.
- Type your question into the search bar in G Suite training or select the appropriate topic from the provided list.
