Overview

Google Hangouts supports real-time collaboration with instant messaging, audio and video conferencing capabilities. Hangouts is the supported video conferencing solution for St. John’s School.

Eligibility

• Students (Instant Messaging only)
• Faculty
• Staff

Getting Started

Hangouts works best in Google Chrome.

1. Start Google Chrome and navigate to: https://hangouts.google.com/
2. Select which option you would like to use:
   • Video Call
   • Phone Call
   • Message

IT encourages faculty and staff to test and validate video calls with the attending parties prior to scheduled meetings or sessions.
