Getting Started
When leaving the school, if you would like to keep the data within you school account account you can either transfer it to another Google Account or download the data. Please use a Chrome browser on a computer when completing either of these tasks. As the transfer or download will take some time, do not leave this process to the last minute.
To obtain a copy of your Google data:
- Go to https://myaccount.google.com
- under the section "Personal info & privacy" you will find "Control your content" click on it.
You will find 2 options:
- Download Your Data
- Transfer Your Content
Download your Data will download all documents (that you own) into a zip file. Documents will be converted to different formats (for example MS Office).
Transfer your Data will transfer all of your data to another google account. Note that personal Google accounts do have a storage limit, if you have more data on your school account than available space, some documents will not transfer so it may be beneficial to clean up your account before transferring.
It is important to understand that you can only download or transfer your own documents, files that are owned by someone else and shared with you will not be included.
