Overview
Google Classroom allows teachers to create a virtual classroom where they can support their students by:
- Posting announcements, assignments and questions
- Track students progress and work in real-time
- Assign, collect and mark work
- Reuse old posts or assignments
- Post in several classes or to only a few students
The benefits of using Google Classroom are:
- Continuing the discussion and learning outside classroom hours
- Give exposure to an Online Learning Platform

Wait! What about Managebac?
Managebac and Google Classroom have some similar features, but they are complementary tools. Managebac is use by students to submit finished work through Turnitin and receive a final grade. Google Classroom is used by teachers to make learning more transparent by allowing both the student and teacher to view the assignment while is it being made. Google Classroom supports comments, in both Google files and in the classroom itself, and allows for files to be submitted and re-submitted as many times as needed. Google classroom also supports larger files and multiple files types.

Getting Started
Google Chrome is recommended when using Google Classroom. If you are a returning student, or a current faculty or staff member, you will be able to access Google Classroom by navigating to:
New faculty and staff will receive their log-on information from their principal or supervisor. New students will receive their log-on information from their homeroom teacher.

Google Classroom can be accessed through the web or on the iOS or Android app. Annotation is available within Google classroom on mobile and tablet.
